While waiting in front of the cashier at my local grocery store and waiting for all of my items to be bagged, I stopped and counted how many plastic bags the teenage cashier was using. I thought to myself, "Wow, that's a lot of plastic that I'm just going to throw away when I get home".

I noticed that I never really re-use any plastic bags because it is just too much of a hassle to keep up with how many there are. I saw a woman leaving the grocery store with a couple of medium sized re-usable shopping bags and I thought that it was a great idea. I live in the third story of my three story apartment building. This concludes that I have three flights of stairs to walk up. With twenty grocery bags I just can't do it.
