Many work at home moms have left the office and started a work at home business for themselves. The need to be with the children and the home is a real one for many stay at moms. The need to pay the bills and have money to live on is another real need for the moms.

By starting a work at home business the moms are able to fulfill both needs, they stay home with the children and home and can still earn a living. No longer are they considered stay at home moms but now are work at home moms.

Work at home moms have a great advantage over mothers who work outside of the home. A work at home business will always allow freedom for when a day is needed to stay with a sick child or a trip to the doctor's office. There will be no need for child care expenses since the mom is able to be at home during the day and any time the child needs something the mother will be right there to give it.

Work at home moms also have a disadvantage. With being home all day there comes the problem of distractions. If you have chosen to start a work at home business so you can take care of your children and house it may be difficult to do both. The children will need attention during the day so you may have to get up extra early to work before they get up and at nap time when you would love to relax it will be time to get work completed while it is quiet. Work at home moms rarely get a moment to their selves as any moment that is not spent cleaning mud off the carpet, walking the dog, or pushing the little one on the swing is used to try to get the work done that pays the bills.
