Bipolar Disorder - What it is and How to Cure it Effectively

The Bipolar disorder is a psychiatric disorder characterized by sudden changes of mood. It can be described also as manic depression or bipolar affective disorder. The individual may suffer periods of normal mood rapidly turned into a cycling of depressive or manic behaviors.

It should be treated timely using prescription medication or natural treatments which would mean a shift in the individual's awareness. Its long time duration can bring devastating consequences so it's very important to treat it on time.

The Bipolar spectrum has many variations, being the most known Bipolar I, Bipolar II and Cyclothymia, which are based on the severity of the disorder. The symptoms can be detected by the person's own experiences or by the observed behaviour and/or interaction with others.

Medication is one of the ways to treat the bipolar anxiety. Prescription medication as Lithium, Olanzapine and Geodon are the most used. These help to deal with the sudden changes of mood by relaxing the patient and calm the nervous system.

The Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), teaches the individual to identify the changes of mood and prevent them. They also learn techniques to avoid the symptoms of bipolar disorder anxiety. This is the better way to cure the bipolar symptoms because it doesn't involve medicine or drugs and the individual can overcome the depression and melancholic state of mind building up his self esteem and personality and turning the disorder into a very positive personal achievement.

Bipolar disorders can also be inherited genetically or influenced by environment or social patterns. In the worst cases the disorder can lead to a total lack of self-esteem, schizophrenia and manic depressive behaviors.
